eLuma is committed to impacting lives with the help of each and every individual we work with. We want to make sure that you have the chance to get to know these amazing people through our Leaders in Education series. In this profile, we feature Jeremy Glauser who is the CEO and Founder of eLuma.
Some mistakenly think education leaders can only be teachers or administrators. The truth is education leaders can be parents, publishers, and developers. Jeremy Glauser is a leader in education because he cares about individual students.
eLuma was founded in 2011 and has expanded from providing only online speech therapy to occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, social work, and school counseling. It has serviced 18,000 students and 400,000 hours of therapy.
Jill Jones, an eLuma clinician, believes eLuma is a good place, full of good people doing good work. “That is the magic of the company to me, it has sprung from passion,” – Jill.
Last year, Jill told eLuma she did not want a full caseload, but she wanted to stay on contract for a single student.
“When this student started he could only tolerate 5 minutes due to his autism, and now he’s able to actually enjoy 15-minute sessions 2 times a week, and one full 30-minute session each month.” -Jill
Together they are working on college applications and meeting IEP goals. Jill can’t think of anyone else who cares about one student enough to go through the paperwork, taxes, and hassle of retaining a clinician for a single student.
eLuma is expanding and hopes to serve millions. Yet, it is leaders in education like Jeremy Glauser that remind us that education is about the students.
