Earlier this week, eLuma Online Therapy was featured in the Kansas news about its role in providing teletherapy services to students with special needs in the Reno County Education Cooperative (RCEC).
Last fall, eLuma contracted with RCEC to help provide online therapy services to their special education students. This decision to incorporate online therapy into their on-site services helped them be prepared to continue providing related services to students after schools went remote in the spring.
Lena Kisner the executive director of special education at RCEC, said this about eLuma: “Getting speech services online was an extreme benefit to us. Having them on staff during COVID made us a lot calmer.”
As COVID-19 has continued to disrupt schools and districts across the U.S., eLuma Online Therapy has been busy working with their national network of online therapists and educators to help get special education programs set up for the upcoming school year.
