Reinventing Special Education with Phyllis Wolfram

Current CASE President, Phyllis Wolfram will be joining eLuma to present a free webinar entitled, "Reinventing Special Education in 2019".

CASE President, Phyllis Wolfram to Give Webinar

Lehi, UT, January 25, 2019 –(PR.com)– eLuma is pleased to announce that the current President of the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE), Phyllis Wolfram will be joining to present a free webinar entitled, “Reinventing Special Education in 2019.” On Friday, February 8, 2019 at 1 pm EST, Ms. Wolfram will address the current state of special education and discuss how CASE is taking a leadership role to support educators and work towards overcoming many of the biggest challenges which include:

– building more unity.
– dealing with crisis level personnel shortages.
– solving disproportionality.
– keeping students safe (KASS).
– addressing mental health issues.
– improving advocacy.

She is one of our most dedicated and compassionate leaders, and her insights will be valuable to anyone associated with special education,” declared eLuma Founder and President Jeremy Glauser. “I hope people will take advantage of this great opportunity.”

As a background, Ms. Wolfram has served for over 35 years as both an educator and administrator in special education. In addition to her duties at CASE, where she works arduously to support administrators and move the causes of special education forward, she also is the current Executive Director for the Missouri CASE.

Through her career, she has worked as a local special education director at three different districts ranging size from a small rural district to the largest urban district in the state of Missouri. She also has additional experience in the are of gifted education, Section 504, ELL and early childhood education.

Prior to tenure as CASE President, she also served as the Chair of the CASE Policy and Legislative Committee as well as the CASE Ad Hoc Committee on IDEA Reauthorization, and as a member of the CASE Task Force for its Design for the Future.

In her home state of Missouri, Phyllis has served on the Governor’s Commission on Autism Spectrum Disorders and has served on various state level committees including Early Childhood Special Education, Electronic IEP Development, Missouri’s RTI Initiative, Transition from School to Work, and the Elementary English Language Arts Committee.

Phyllis has also served on the Board of Directors for the Council for Exceptional Children and the CEC IDEA Reauthorization Workgroup. She is also currently the Chairman of the Board for Burrell Behavior Health.

With such long and distinguished career, there a few that are more qualified to lead and provide insights into the many facets of special education. This webinar is free and open to everyone, but space is somewhat limited. eLuma encourages early registration using the following link.
