Meet the Team: Stephanie Balt

  • Meet the Team
  • September 1, 2017
  • George Dayton
eLuma Online Therapy provides some of the finest speech therapists available. No one is more emblematic of an eLuma speech therapist than Stephanie Balt.
We are so proud of everyone on the eLuma Team and the difference that they are making in the world of special education. We want to make sure that we take the time to recognize their contributions to our success. Each month we will be profiling a different person, specifically choosing individuals we believe represent eLuma and its company values.  Our September Meet the Team profile features Stephanie Balt, CCC-SLP. Stephanie has been practicing as a speech therapist for over 21 years and is in her 4th year with eLuma.  She specializes in treating students with Dysphagia and DPNS and is currently serving students in Arizona. We hope you can take a few moments to get to know her. She is truly an amazing speech language pathologist and person.
Her Story
I consider myself from Colorado because I grew up there and my roots are there. I graduated in 1995 with my Masters from Fort Hays State University, Kansas. My first job and passion was working with the geriatric and adult population in the skilled nursing units, home health, outpatient and hospital settings. After 10 years of working full-time as a speech therapist and having two children, I decreased my hours to PRN work with my main focus on raising my children and husband. 😉 After the kids were in school, moving four states and tired of weekend PRN work, I wanted a change so, I contacted Jeremy Glauser. We had an email conversation about speech teletherapy and my interest in pursuing it. It was soon thereafter, in 2013, he gave me the opportunity to start with eLuma. What I thought was going to be scary and challenging transition only turned out to be a new passion (I always love a challenge) and a love for working with children. What an inspiration it has been!
On working at eLuma . . .
eLuma offered me an experience and opportunity to help others in need. They have the programs and staff that allow you to be efficient and grow in your position. Everyone employed by eLuma has given inspiration in the area of speech-language pathology, organization or technology.
